Higginbotham & HIGG U
In keeping with an ever changing industry and fulfilling the mission statement "To exceed the expectations of our employees, clients, carriers and communities..." Higginbotham announced Higginbotham University in June 2016, as the educational arm of their growing agency. The brainchild of CEO & President, Rusty Reid, the affectionately called HIGG U set its goals to provide a superior insurance education for all new producers joining the agency.
Within two short years HIGG U was not only offering a complete New Producer Education Program (N-PeP), but had developed and begun their Best Account Management program, or BAM, offering complete training for all non-production employees.
Today HIGG U programs include N-Pep, A-PeP (Advanced Producer Education Program), BAM I, II and III. Accompanying the technical insurance education products HIGG U also offers programs in Sales, Management, Communication and Employee Development. Since their beginning, each program can boast a proven success rate through students who have enjoyed success, fulfillment and advancement in their chosen field.
HIGG U is staffed with dedicated instructors with countless years of insurance and business experience in all areas of the insurance industry. Backing this experience, most instructors have multiple industry designations and are licensed insurance instructors nationally. At last count HIGG U has conducted classes and complete programs for over 250 new employees and countless veteran employees.

Neel Choate AIC, CIC

Neel is a 42 year veteran of the insurance industry beginning his career as a claims adjuster. After moving to the position of underwriter in his companies "crossover" program he continued his work in the carrier world holding positions in sales, operations, administration and senior management.
Joining the agency force some 20 years ago Neel has been in management and production, as well as starting an agency for an investment group.
Today Neel is the Director of HIGG U teaching the next generation to navigate the insurance world. He is also an instructor for the National Alliance and guest lectures at the University of Texas as Dallas and The University of North Texas.

Sheila Bright

Sheila is an 13 year insurance veteran with experience in the agency and managing general agency arena. Serving as the manager of HIGG U, Sheila also developed and leads the BAM program offering complete training for all non-production staff employees with 3 class levels designed to offer a complete career path to all incoming new employees.
Sheila begin her career at Dallas' own Southwest Airlines corporate offices and was introduced in the art of customer service and training by one of the true leaders in the field. Bringing that since of service to Higginbotham was a perfect fit for the culture.
